Aston Project – Volunteer

The Aston Project is a police-led initiative which aims to reduce harm, crime and antisocial behaviour by inspiring young people to meet their potential in a positive and rewarding environment.

Working with partners and communities, the project runs a timebank scheme which engages young people in constructive pursuits for which they earn credits towards a fun activity of their choice, therefore promoting a ‘work for reward’ ethos.

Having launched in Cheltenham in 2011 and expanded to Gloucester in April 2015, the project is now seeking to develop further by using the skills, interests and contributions of the wider community.

If you feel you have something to offer the young people involved with the Aston Project, apply to become a volunteer. Applicants will need to complete:

  •          a short online application
  •          an application for a DBS check (FREE OF CHARGE)
  •          GCSB approved ‘Safeguarding Children’ online training (FREE OF CHARGE)

In return, the project will provide volunteers with a point of contact who will welcome you to the Aston Project team and fully support you through the application process and your subsequent volunteering activity.

You can complete the online application form via the Aston Project website under the ‘Volunteering’ tab, or you can get in touch on the contact details below if you would simply like to find out more.
